Kill The Interweb

My brand new website will be hitting town sooner than later.

I have worked on it for the better part of today, planning out a
rather minimal / sparse design - if you're a fan of single page
websites with small black type on plain white backgrounds,
we're in business.

When it goes live it'll replace my sketchy "coming soon" graphic - on
which I've relied for the past few months - updating the space with a
no frills outfit for the new year (or at least for now).

Considering I'm not yet a big fan of graphic designers taking on
web-designer roles (without programmer street- smarts), I must
say I'm quietly impressed with today's efforts and my random
aptitude for butchering code and shaping it from a wad of coding
cookie dough into delicious minimalist web goodness.

Keep your eyes half peeled for progress.

PS: Before the indie kids can take a shot, the answer is YES, the website
is named after one of my favourite records, 'Kill The Moonlight' by
Texas-grown indie rockers SPOON.

***EDIT March 4: Encountered a few set backs / bugs, which I'm working through
currently... As a designer I'm constantly reassessing ideas, and as such have
decided to redesign the page (before you've even seen it haha). Incorporating
much of the existing format I've already decided upon, the transition should go
a lot smoother, and hopefully the outcome will be worth waiting for. Essentially
I'm just fleshing it out a little, so that it is not as spartan as first anticipated...
however, simplicity and a minimalist approach will remain. Thanks again for
being patient.

Everything you see on this account (currently) was produced between the years 2003 and (early) 2007. Rather than throwing it to the wind, I've decided to keep this account after all. I've placed all work (posted to date) in a folder appropriately entitled "Old Submissions '03 - '07"

I'm almost certain the "dark art" element has run it's course... that ship has sailed, but make way for conversation, observation and perhaps some designer-esque submissions and potentially higher calibre artistic endeavors in the (near) future.

***EDIT: I started submitting new
work on Sunday February 22 2009.

I think that's the Beatles I see.
You're online and I'm online!

I dig the the new icon.
What'd the Mexican say when two houses fell on him?

"Get off me homes!"
Thanks for the shiz, and the shiz is the favourite on 'Birdy'. Much appreciated, mate.
